Mediasphere's flagship product, Powerhouse Hub, needed front-end improvements to enhance user experience and visual appeal. As a next-generation online training and development platform, it needed to challenge current eLearning design trends while maintaining usability for diverse corporate clients with varying technical needs.
As Front-end Developer, I tackled:
Working on an established SaaS product required a careful blend of innovation and consistency:
My first priority was setting up proper development workflows. I implemented Git for version control and established clear processes for code reviews and deployment - something that had been missing previously.
For the core interface, I worked on creating a more intuitive navigation structure. eLearning platforms often suffer from confusing information architecture, so I focused on creating clear visual hierarchies and consistent interaction patterns.
When clients needed custom implementations, I'd begin by understanding their specific training workflows and goals. Then I'd adapt the platform's front-end to meet these needs while maintaining core functionality.
For all visual elements, I pushed beyond the typical corporate eLearning aesthetic. Too many training platforms look sterile and boring - I aimed for engaging but professional designs that wouldn't feel outdated within a year.
Throughout this process, I maintained constant communication with the development team to ensure my front-end work integrated smoothly with the back-end systems.
My contributions to Powerhouse Hub included:
Though my time at Mediasphere was relatively short, I helped establish front-end standards and processes that improved both the user experience and the development workflow for their flagship product.
